W+L tax attorney Howard Richshafer will speak at the University of Cincinnati’s 52nd Annual Tax Institute on December 11, 2019. He will lecture on the “ABCs of Ethical & Statutory Conduct Required of Federal Tax Practitioners.” Martindale-Hubbell continuously rates Howard “AV Preeminent,” the highest possible rating in both legal ability and ethical standards.
The Institute is attended by over 350 CPA’s, public accountants, enrolled agents, and attorneys. This will be the 39thconsecutive year that Howard has lectured there.
Howard is also an adjunct professor of tax law at the University of Cincinnati, Lindner College of Business. He has taught there since 1980. Currently, he teaches advanced “Taxation of Business Entities” in the Masters of Science Accounting program.
In May 2017, the Dean of the Lindner College of Business awarded the “2017 Outstanding Professor in Accounting and Tax” award to him for more than 35 years as an adjunct professor in the graduate tax programs.
He has authored over 100 tax articles including a manual he co-authored on “Ohio Limited Liability Companies. His articles have been published in the Journal of Taxation, Ohio Lawyer, and Corporate Controller. He also authored a chapter titled “Deductions for Profit-Motivated Activities,” which is part of the Lexis-Nexis® online Federal Tax Research Library.
Howard is also an Ohio CPA. He is licensed to practice law in all Ohio courts, U.S. Tax Court, the Southern Ohio District Court in Cincinnati, the 6TH Circuit Federal Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.”
