W+L Attorney Dale Stalf Running to Serve as Judge on the First District Court of Appeals
Wood + Lamping is humbled and honored to announce that W+L partner Dale Stalf is running for election in November to serve as a Judge on the First District (Hamilton County) Court of Appeals.
Dale has headed W+L’s Litigation Practice Area since he joined the firm in 2009. The Best Lawyers in America® recently recognized Dale as its 2019 “Lawyer of the Year” in Cincinnati in the area of Litigation – Construction. Best Lawyers honors only one lawyer per practice area in a community based upon a nationwide survey of more than 7.8 million leading lawyers. Dale has been recognized by Best Lawyers for his work in the area of Litigation – Construction since 2017 and also for his consistently high level of practice in the area of Commercial Litigation every year since 2013. And in 2019, he was recognized by Best Lawyers for his work in Personal Injury Litigation – Plaintiffs. He has also been recognized by his peers and Law & Politics magazine as one of the “Top 50 Cincinnati” Super Lawyers© every year since 2012 and as one of the “Top 100 Ohio” Super Lawyers in 2014, 2018 and 2019.
Prior to graduating from the University of Cincinnati College of Law in 1983, Dale served as a forward support platoon leader in the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault). Dale’s first job as a lawyer was as an Army JAG prosecutor for the 1st Armored Division in Germany. He later served as an Attorney-Advisor in the Office of the General Counsel to the Secretary of Defense at The Pentagon, where he assisted United States Attorneys in defending the Department of Defense and its employees in a wide variety of civil litigation around the country.
Dale has a well-deserved reputation in the Greater Cincinnati legal community as an outstanding trial lawyer and as a true “legal professional” in every sense of that term. His keen sense of fairness and impartiality and his 35 years of criminal and civil trial experience in state and federal courts make him perfectly suited to ensure that justice is served in Hamilton County, and W+L wholeheartedly endorses Dale Stalf for election as Judge of the First District Court of Appeals.
