Shawn M. Evans

Shawn Evans joined Wood + Lamping in 2013 after practicing with another local law firm for several years. Shawn practices exclusively in the areas of domestic relations including divorce, dissolution, prenuptial agreements, property settlements, spousal support, and parenting matters including child custody, parenting time, child support and grandparents’ rights. In addition to having extensive trial experience, Shawn is also collaboratively trained and a member of the Cincinnati Association of Collaborative Professionals. She is also qualified to serve as a Guardian Ad Litem and Parenting Coordinator. Shawn was selected for inclusion on the 2013, 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018 Super Lawyers® Ohio Rising Stars list.  Currently Shawn is the Vice-Chair of the Domestic Relations Committee of the Cincinnati Bar Association.

Shawn is a graduate of the University Of Dayton School of Law, where she was a President’s Award Scholarship Recipient and the Executive Secretary of the Student Bar Association. In addition, Shawn was active in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program and a recipient of the Pro Bono Service Award. Shawn received her undergraduate degree from DePauw University (Greencastle, Indiana), where she majored in Political Science and French Language. She was a member of Pi Beta Phi and Pi Delta Phi Honor Society.

Shawn is a lifelong Cincinnatian, having attended Indian Hill High School, where she now serves as a legal advisor to the Indian Hill Mock Trial team. Shawn has successfully coached the team to two state championships and attended the National High School Mock Trial Tournament in Albuquerque, New Mexico and Indianapolis, Indiana.
